Criminal charges we defend
This page is the charge index. Open the URL that matches the paper, then open the county page that matches the filing stamp. The homepage holds Houston head terms. Sam R. Cammack III has been licensed in Texas since 2002. Holly answers. Sam tries the case.
Have the number from the paper? Send the cause number on the contact form.
Short answer: which page do I open?
Open the charge page that names the offense, then the county page that names the court. A DWI filed in Harris County needs Houston DWI lawyer and Harris County. An assault filed in Montgomery County needs Houston assault lawyer and Montgomery County. The city on a driver's license does not pick either one.
Who we are: Sam R. Cammack III is lead trial counsel, licensed in Texas on December 5, 2002 (Bar No. 24014415). Holly A. Quinterro schedules settings and talks to families in English and Spanish. The office is at 1001 West Loop South, Suite 700. Firm Google reviews (4.9 across 117) sit on the homepage.
Five criminal charges. One supporting civil page.
Order below is how Sam actually spends court time, confirmed with Holly on 31 August 2026. It matches the live nav. DWI is the bigger search term. It is still third on this docket.
Houston assault lawyer
Homicide, aggravated assault, and deadly weapon charges. State of Texas v. David Barajas, not guilty of murder, was tried in Brazoria County in August 2014. Sam was lead defense counsel. That record is on case results and on the Brazoria County page. Past results do not predict your case.
Murder and assaultHouston family violence lawyer
Domestic assault, protective-order allegations, strangulation charges, and repeat-offense filings. These move quickly at the bond stage. The criminal case and the protective-order docket are not always the same courtroom.
Family violence and domestic assaultHouston DWI lawyer
First offense through felony DWI, plus the ALR license hearing that runs on its own clock. That hearing has a short deadline and is separate from the criminal case. DUI language shows up in searches. Texas files DWI.
DWI and DUIHouston drug possession lawyer
Possession, possession with intent to deliver, and trafficking. Penalty groups and weight matter. Where the search happened is often the case.
Narcotics and drug possessionHouston theft lawyer
Robbery, burglary, and theft at misdemeanor and felony levels. Value, intent, and restitution get decided early. The explainer on robbery versus theft versus burglary lives on the blog. Commercial theft-lawyer searches belong here.
Robbery and theftAlso handled
Personal injury is supporting work, often referred, not a daily criminal docket. Houston personal injury and wrongful death is the civil page for a crash or death that also produced charges. It is not a Houston personal-injury head-term campaign. Federal charges: tell Holly the district and the count. A dedicated federal page is not live yet.
The charge is one URL. The courthouse is another.
These five county pages name the court, the courthouse address, and the cities under that filing stamp. Open the one on the complaint.
- Harris County: 1201 Franklin, Houston.
- Montgomery County: Conroe, not The Woodlands.
- Fort Bend County: Richmond Justice Center, not Sugar Land.
- Galveston County: Justice Center on 59th Street.
- Brazoria County: Angleton. Barajas was tried here.
Full map: counties we appear in. Liberty and Waller are scheduled. They do not have their own pages yet.

Frequently asked questions
I was arrested for DWI in Katy. Which page do I open?
Open DWI and DUI for the charge. Then read the complaint for the county. Katy sits in Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller. Harris filings: Harris County. Fort Bend filings: Fort Bend County. Waller has no county URL yet. Call the office if the paper names Waller.
Is personal injury a criminal charge?
No. It is supporting civil work, often referred. Keep it if the crash also produced a criminal case. Do not treat that page as the Houston personal-injury auction.
Do you have a federal cases page?
Not yet. Holly still schedules those settings. Call 713-224-4444 and name the district. Do not use a federal URL on this site until that page is a real 200.
Where are case results?
Named matters, including Barajas, sit on case results. Past results do not predict your case. Clerk and inmate tools are on Resources.
Why is this URL called practice areas?
That is the live WordPress slug. The page is the Houston criminal-defense charge index. Use the five charge links. The homepage is still the Houston head-term page.
